Centenary of Mauritius postage stamps. The first two stamps of Mauritius were inscribed "POST OFFICE", which was corrected in 1847 to "POST PAID". 5-cent stamp depicts 1847 1-penny "POST OFFICE" stamp; 1-rupee stamp depicts 1847 2-pence "POST OFFICE" stamp.
