10-t stamp depicting Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, with overprint "Nov. '33" instead of "Nov. '83". The error was quickly corrected.

Catalog numbers: Scott 228B

Approximate value: US$7.75.

2007 August 29

Bangladesh

10-taka postage stamp depicts Dr. Muhammad Yunis as a winner of a Nobel Peace Prize. But the stamp shows the medal for the Nobel Prize in physiology or chemistry, and incorrect abbreviation of "Muhammad". The stamp is withdrawn, and a modified stamp is issued 5 days later. The new stamp fully spells "Muhammad", shows the correct medal, and more correctly refers to the medal as the Nobel Peace Prize.

Next country: Barbados.
